Frameless doors with low-iron glass for a clearer look
Walk-in conversions with a fixed screen in active-adult communities

Associations

Many western Delray communities have HOA or condo associations that may require approval and installer insurance certificates. Plan time for that before the measuring appointment.

Safety glazing: glass in shower and tub enclosures is a "hazardous location" under the Florida Building Code, Residential, so it must be safety glazing, which for shower doors almost always means tempered glass (2023 Florida Building Code, Residential (8th ed.), Section R308.4.5 Glazing and wet surfaces; Florida Building Commission, Analysis of Changes, 8th Edition (2023) FBC-Residential). Federal rules in 16 CFR Part 1201, Safety Standard for Architectural Glazing Materials (eCFR) cover safety glazing used in shower and bathtub doors and enclosures. Look for the permanent tempered-glass mark (the "bug") in a corner of each panel.
